Sport Water Muscle?

Sport Fitness
Recently, I was in my high school gym, and these dudes were given this guy a hard time for taking creatine. While I was lifting, I over heard a guy claiming, " after you give up working out, your muscles will turn to fat because it's all water". I am kind of skeptical about this because I have heard great results from creatine, and this guy seemed to be getting good results as well. After discussing this with a kid I know on a swim team, he told me that the only reason why the results seem good is because creatine gives you "water muscle", but does not help you in any way for strength. My question is, does creatine give you "water muscle", and is not good for strength? Or is this just rumors, which I believe it might be.

Thankyou

The kids at school are unintelligent and uninformed.

First off, muscle doesn't turn into fat, and fat doesn't turn into muscle.

Secondly, there's no such thing as water muscles.

Creatine does make you put on a bit of water weight, but it also helps build muscle. Creatine is a substance naturally found in your body anyway.

all true...

thanks for the replies fellas. it is kind of ridiculous what i hear in the highschool gym as of techniques and stuff that coaches tell them. i wonder, sometimes, where some of these dudes are getting this.
