Sport Water Intake

Sport Fitness
I have heard a few different things for the amount of water consumed in a day. I have heard 10-8 ounce glasses and 1/2 - 1 gallon for men a day. What is correct?

Regardless of the amount, I am assuming it is better to drink a little all the time than a lot at one time. Is this correct?

I have started drinking more water and found I am making a LOT more trips to bathroom, which at work is hard to do, I work on a line in a factory. Will the frequent trips lessen as I get used to drinking the water or what?

Also, does anyone use a program for their meals. If so, what?

Thanks for helping out a newbie. :beerchug:

I've heard sixteen 8 ounce cups or 96 ounces. I'd spread them throughout the entire day starting the moment you get up in the morning.

Hi there,
I'm in Australia so I'm affraid I'm unfamiliar with ounces. There is a general rule that you should have about 2 litres of water per day. However if you're a very active person, natually sweat a lot, do a lot of training, you should increase the amount of whatever you have. So 2 litres is standard and if you're training a lot it could be 4 litres a day. However be careful of drinking too much when you don't need to as drinking too much water can actually flush good vitamins out of your system.

Some dietitian recommends 1 liter every 25kg of your weight if your goal is losing weight.Base on my experience, you go to bathroom often just for a while.Once your body started to fully absorbed water that you consumed, everything will going normal...
