Sport Water bloat

Sport Fitness
I have been trying to drink alot of water. But by the end of the day, I am sooo bloated. I look and feel horrible. I feel like I have put on about 5 lbs in a matter of hours!!! Is this the norm?

If you don't usually drink alot of water, then it will take your body a little while to adjust, so yes it is normal. Just give it a few days and you should feel better.

How much water are we talking, here? Usually, bloating is caused by other things. Water can sometimes cause bladder pressure for obvious reasons. But, urinating takes care of that.

its a fact. cant stress enough

if you want to live a healthy lifestyle. drink 5-6 "8 oz" of water a day.
your body is just adjusting from the crap you used to drink :p
your body i believe is 70% or so water. Drinking water keeps the bodily functions at norm and also cleans out the "abnormalities/bad stuff" from your body, kind of like "replenishing"

hehe

That crap would be Diet Mt. Dew :p
And I have a sport bottle that has the ounces on it, so I know how much water I'm getting. I was drinking around 60 oz a day or more. I quit drinking so much water when I started bloating! I start again and give it a few days.

Sorry for taking over the topic here, but should you drink all the water at once, say after/during exercise, or is it better to spread it evenly out over the whole day? I find it hard to drink that much on one of my "non-active" days. Is there any difference between the two?

theres no problem drinking alot of water.

good luck. and 60 oz a day? nice.

keep away from sodas, as they have sugar, even if its diet.... sugar can result to fat.

Hehe yeah, I know it's no problem to drink water when I'm thirsty, what I was asking is, is there an easier way to drink the required amount of water, even when I'm not thirsty? As in, on a day that I'm less active? Say I go swimming or to the gym, I'll go through a litre of water straight away no problem. But on another "off" day (as in no gym or swimming), I find it hard to drink even 500mL of water. What can I do there? I simply don't get thirsty enough!
