Sport Water and Caffeine

I've searched for this, but couldn't find it anywhere...

I recall hearing that in order to neutralize the diuretic effect of caffeine, one has to drink an additional XX oz of water per YY mg of caffeine.

Has someone heard this before? What is the ratio ?

You can't neutralize a diuretic like caffeine except with anti-diuretics, such as ADH (anti-diuretic hormones). All you can do to minimize the effects of a diuretic is to dilute it with water as it is water soluble.

Diuretics make your urine more diluted, so you're gonna have to drink a lot of water and make a bunch of runs to do number 1 to dilute caffeine.

But why do you need to flush out the diuretics? Is it because you are worried abou the dehydration from drinking coffee? If so, don't worry about it. It is an urban myth.
