I've been going to a gym for about a year, but never working out seriously (hard to find time with work/school full time.) I want to get in reasonable shape, obviously not built like the guys on the cover of Health + Fitness mag, but enough to feel better about how I look. I used to lift and run in the same workout, but I figured I would just run to lose weight faster. The problem is I don't want to just lose weight, I want to increase muscle if I can, or at least maintain it, and I've heard running reduces muscle mass. My specs are
18 yrs. of age
175 lbs
5' 10"
I dont know if I'm maintaining 175, since I haven't been to the gym in a couple of weeks. Diet is flexible, but what kind of foods are good for Low Calorie Diets (besides fruits + veggies?)
Thanks...
