walking for weight loss

walking for wieght los might sound off the track but it is prolific compared to running and heay workouts for weight loss. walking is a moderate exercise which does not put ourselves to a test. so without reaching your limits one can lose a lot of wieght. what do you think?
 
Walk for longer than an hour if you have the time...

Walking is great because you do not need any expensive equipment - just a suitable pair of shoes - and you do not even need to confront people in a gym (which can be daunting if you are big)...

Almost everyone is fit enough to walk a bit... The initial distance really does depend on things like how big and how fit we are... We know when we have pushed ourselves and done a distance we can be proud of...

When I started (as big lady with a BMI of 52 back in 2007) I walked around the block where I lived - a distance of 0.6 miles... I sat on people's garden walls a few times and was proud that I walked as far... I didnt care how fast I did it - but was really proud of the distance...

I decided to do the same again every day - and to increase the distance as soon as I felt fit enough to do so...

Pretty soon I was able to go out for hours at a time and walk literally five or six miles...

I kept on walking every day... Every day I got fitter...

I found that I had naturally speeded up too...

Walking was the biggest form of exercise in that weight loss project...

I lost 147 pounds in the first 13 months of that project... Food control was important too - it was certainly not all due to the walking - but the walking really helped a lot...

I now do all sorts of exercise (including a lot of dance) - but I still walk a lot...
 
with little time and health issues i find walking hard but do work on the basis that a little is better than nothing :) and do regular half hour lunchtime walks. they are indeed cheaper than hitting the gym (where i'm not fit enough to get the most out of a membership anyway!)
 
walking for weightloss or creating a calorie deficit is a decent start if you do not exercise

The human body in about half an hour of aerobic exercise before starting consume stored body fat.
So you must walk for half an hour or more. Before they can reach your desired weight loss.Otherwise, it is a fitness only.
 
Walking is a very good and natural way to lose weight, but it will take some more time. Regular walking gives the better results. Apart from the weight loss this habit gives you many more health benefits; a regular morning walk will give you more freshness for whole day.
 
Nice thinking. This is the natural way to lose weight. But if you do this regularly, this will be very helpful naturally. Thanks a lot.
