Walk/Run Method

There's walking, jogging, running, and sprinting and during PE when we run track. My PE teacher says that walk/jog is much healthier because the body adapts to the way we travel and I am thinking I burn more fat this way. Is this the best way or not?

I guess it would depend on how hard your "jog" is. If you are talking about running at a moderate pace and then moveing at a less than moderate pace than I just do not get it. You probobly do not need to recover from a moderate pace. If you are already exhausted and you need to stop and catch your breath because you are exhausted than there is nothing that I am going to say that can stop you.

Again, if you are running so hard that you need to walk for thirty seconds every once and a while and then you pick up the pace agian than you are recovering just enough to maintain a hard run, which at least means that you are working hard. If you do not need to recover than you are wasteing time effort and hurting your workout. That is like crapping out on your crap out! No. Recovering from your recovery phase will not help you in any way.
