Vitamin A - Improve Skin tone and colour?

Hi just wanting to ask about vitamin A. People have been teeling me that i look pale at the minute but i am training enough to keep fit, playing sport and eating and sleeping well!

A friend told me that he takes a glass of carrot juice everyday and he noticed a hugh difference. He went from being pale to almost brown! Does this sound right to you?

If so, is carrot juice the best source for vitamin A?

Cheers

It's the beta-carotene that will give you colour - but you have to consume loads of it.

When one of my nephews was a baby, he would only eat sweet potatoes, peaches, apricots baby food jars and he was VERY orange for about a year, until he started liking other foods.

Orange/Red/Dark yellow fruits & veggies have a lot of Beta-carotene, though - like carrots, winter squashes, apricots, sweet potatoes, red peppers, etc.

Or you can try a self-tanning cream.

(I personally prefer being pale... I stand out among all the silly orange fake-baked college girls)

a friend said she knew someone who went on a diet and ate a lot of carrots...and that her skin got an orange tone!

i have had bad luck with the fake tanners - i'm very pale and was a weird looking orange from them..had to loofah and couldn't go outside for days, before i could get the color off....

Also, be careful, Vitamin A is fat-soluble, and is very toxic in high amounts.
yes, this is also true.
