Videos

Hey guys, I just started using cell mass and I was wondering if you guys could post some videos up on a site for me. Dumbell workouts and stuff like that because i work out from home. If you wana use the site i tagged that be great but whatever you can do would be awesome.

Thanks.

Look up Pat Flynn on Youtube. Most of his stuff is kettlebell work, but anything you can do with kettlebells, you can do with dumbbells.

anything you can do with kettlebells, you can do with dumbbells.

There are a few exceptionns to that, but only the truly insane will go to the lengths where you find out.
I use weight discs in place of dumbbells, which so far is working out well.
One thing that dumbells don't do which is nice, they don't swing back and batter your wrists.

^ That's a fair enough correction.

When I do static lying shoulder extensions for my lower traps at my gym, I use the 1.25kg plates, because the 2.5kg dumbbells (the lightest ones we've got) would be too heavy for that little exercise. Funny what a little bit of torque will do.

One of the reasons I don't video my workouts.
Last time I was doing standing shoulder press with plates standing on the wrong side of a bosu.
During the exercise I looked nice and tidy, hands through the heavier plate handles, holding smaller disc, standing more stable than I deserve to be, pushing out the reps.
Getting into position or off the bosu however showed all the grace of a fairy elephant as I fumbled about with large and small discs getting them between my legs on the bosu platform positioning my feet and lifting. Then trying to put the weights down without shredding my hands and focus enough on staying on the bosu not to land in an undignified heap.
Dumbbells are easier to work with, but there was a choice to make regarding space and kettles won.
