Versa Climber vs. stationary bike

Hi,
I've just gotten back on the "gym train," and am looking for advice. I'm a diehard stationary bike lover b/c they're so low impact and I've a bit of a knee problem. But recently i've been using the Versa Climber and am really impressed so far.

It almost seems like 5 minutes on the Versa Climber is worth 10 minutes on the bike. When I began on the VC, I couldn't last more than 6 minutes. Now I'm up to over 20 minutes, with a couple of breaks in there to get my breath back/wipe the sweat off my hands and face!

So here's my question: Is there any reason at all I should spend time on the bike, or would it be more effective for me to just continue to up my time/speed on the VC?

(I am looking to tone up, lose some weight, and am hitting the gym 3-4 times a week, lifting weights, eating right, etc...)

Thanks for any kind advice!
Heather

What cardio equipment you use is totally up to you. As long as your heart rate gets up there. Remember this though. Your body gets used to stuff. If its used to a stationary bike (sounds like it may be) then its not as hard of a workout as the VC. You'll get better results with the VC in this case (theoretically anyway)
