Veins

I've got vericose veins in my legs. Will these go away if I continue to excersise and lose wieght? What causes them in the first place?

Also, I have veins bulging out of my arms now, like when I was in HS. I assume this is becuase one, I'm losing fat in my arms allowing them to show and also the muscles are pushing them toward the skin.

I like the veins in the arms, but the veins in the legs can go away when ever they feel like it.

When I saw the title of this thread, "VEINS", I had a totally different idea as to what this thread was going to be about. Umm, anyway...

I'm sure a lot of it has to do with the muscle pushing the veins towards the surface of your skin. I know that when I work out and actually start building muscle (unlike my fat-riddled body today) I get a lot of veins to start popping out of the woodwork, so to speak. My arms don't look like Yahoo! Maps or anything, but you can see train-tracking in my biceps.

GADOOSH!!!

Exercise will not make existing varicose veins go away. They are blood vessels have enlarged due to a weakening in the vein's wall or valves. If they're painful in any way, or particularly upsetting to you for the way they look then show them to your doctor, they can be removed. Really bad ones need to be removed, actually.

The veins become noticable in your upper arms when your body fat gets sufficiently low.
