Utilizing various workout programs?

Hi all,

Not new to the workout game, but have been mainly sticking with the same old same old for the past few years. I wanted to mix things up a bit with my routines, but wanted to get some opinions/advice first. I am really interested in the 3 programs right now (Crossfit, P90X, and a customized strength building program). I have done P90X and enjoyed it. I want to do all three, but my question is should I? If I should, how should I space the programs? For example:
3 wks of Crossfit
3 wks of P90 X
3 wks of custom program
repeat.

3 wks was just a number I threw out there. Could be 2, could be 6. I would also be throwing in cardio as well. Any thoughts/info/etc is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
 
3 weeks is a little short for changing programs completely. the body doesn't adapt to the routine that quickly. 6 to 8 weeks is a better timeframe in my opinion.

your other option would be to do them all at once. Monday is P90x, Wednesday is crossfit, Friday is a traditional strength training program that hits the muscle groups that need it.

Bear in mind i've not done p90x so I don't know if those workouts are splits or full body routines each session.
 
Do people wake up in the morning and go and check crossfit to know what to do for exercise? I looked on the exercise today and they have

Five rounds for time of:
50 Wall-ball shots with 20-pound ball to ten-foot target
25 Pull-ups

You can do pushups, pullups, situps but that is not a proper workout for many of us who want bench, squat ect.
