Urgently need some advice on rapid weight loss

Hi,

I'm 18 years old, around 5' 10 and ~17 stone (240 pounds). My weight is really knocking down my confidence and I'm beginning to find it hard to talk to people at all.

I have no idea what the best methods to lose weight would be, so I'm here to ask for some advice. An ideal method would be extremely rapid and require casual exercise (I'm really not confident enough to use a gym). It's getting to the point where I really don't care anymore, so I'll do anything that will result in me getting over this problem (pills, detox, etc). Since I live in the UK, it must be available there.

Also I was considering going on a diet of just fruit and not eating anything else along with taking some dieting pills from Ebay. Has anyone tried this, does it work?

I find it hard to believe that there are still people out there willing to try shortcuts when there's so much proof and information out there proving these types of things don't work.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt (while still being amazed) and assume you've never used the internet before or talked to anyone sensible in your life about dieting.

Fast off fast on is pretty common.

What if you could lose all your excess weight tomorrow?

That would be great, right?

Now what if it all came back the very next day?

All of a sudden all that immediate weight loss isn't so great and special.

Right?

Hopefully you get my point.

Give the forum the respect it deserves by reading through the stickies found at the tops of the various subforums. The 'words of wisdom' thread would be a great starting place for you.

You say you are so desperate that you are willing to try anything... what have you tried already that has made you so very desperate? I really am curious.
 
It should never be a diet, it should always be a life style change. There is no quick way to lose weight that is effective, becuase if there was, no body would be fat.

Casual exercise is good. Do jump roping, or just go for an hour walk every few days.

You can't live off of a diet of just fruit, you need other sources of nutrition. Try counting calories, its a good way for you to understand what you are putting in your body, and you don't nesscarily have to give up your favorite foods, just watch the amount you eat.

Or you might want to join a weight loss group. You get the support you need for people going on the same journey as you, and they generally have easier means to losing weight than by counting calories.

Though you can't lose a ton of weight fast, you will, as long as you keep up with it, lose weight. Time flies by, and before you know it, you are at your goal. I've only been losing weight for not even 3 months, and i have lost over 30 pounds, which is 9 pounds away from my first goal, and half way from my second.

if you want a quick fix.. get a gastric bypass and liposuction..

if you want to fix it the same way you made this problem, slowly and over time. then eat properly and workout and train, and build muscle.. steve knows his shit..
