Sport Unsure what to eat?

Hey all,

I recently started working out but I haven't changed my eating patern at all. It currently consists of: Chippys, Chinkys, Pizzas, Microwave meals, KFC, Jacket potatos.

I know that most of that food isn't good for me so I have decided to cut it out of my diet. However I don't know what foods to replace them with. I am
6ft2 and weigh around 12.10 stone. I want to bulk up quite a bit on my upper body and arms so I was thinking of increasing my weight.

Can someone point me in the direction of websites or free diets so I know what types of food to eat. Im a total newbie when it comes to things like this and I want to sort out my eating as soon as possible.

mostly just dont eat too much saturated fat (probably fry grease) because your body can make its own, and dont eat simple carbs (like sugars) unless its just after a workout... eat plenty of protein, and get your poly/monounsaturated fats (can be found in fish and flaxseed oils) and you're good to go. mostly keep portions low when it comes to any carb and or fat... but do eat them! don't just eliminate them altogether because you'll kill your metabolism, and your body needs carbs to rebuild muscle as well.

oh, and water. ice cold, and in large amounts... all day long. i personally probably drink 1-3gallons of the stuff depending on the day.

so basically, its not 100% what you eat, but when you eat it, and how much of it you eat... as long as you get all the vitamins and minerals you need and plenty of protein.
 
You can use this to look up the foods that you have been eatting and compaire them to what you should be eatting.
 
thanks very much for your help, hopefully I will be able to get my eating on track soon enough I shall look at all this info once I have come back from swiming
