Ok, after making some threads and reading threads on supplements for months, i decided creatine was right for me. So today i go to gnc and get ready to buy straight creatine monohydrate. The gnc lady asked for my age and i said 17, She said " oh i dont recommend this because for one your not 18 and it may not work and 2. your still young and probably not in the weight room enough for creatine to have the full effect. I was looking at her thinking what the heck? im in the weight room 2 times a day 5 days a week. It got me mad because she was saying all this stuff i wouldnt be able to do and i am doing, like water intake, right time to lift and take supplements. She said that since im only 17 ( only 5 months away from 18! ) I should start out slow with like a base or something. She said i should take some multivitamins and get plenty of water....IM ALREADY DOING THAT!HAVE BEEN FOR ABOUT A YEAR! she also said that creatine would get me banned from the football team because it can show in urine tests even after i told her that like 40% of our team uses creatine and 1. our teams weight trainer recommends it and 2. it legal! she recommended to just take multivitamins and some protine powder. I know protien powder is good but then she topped it off by recommending this protien powder that only had like 8 servings in it and your supposed to take it after every work out.I said this wont last that long and she said it would because you ONLY TAKE IT AFTER WORKOUTS! i was thinking ok...she must think i lift like once a week. I dunno im just kinda fustrated because i feel like she doesn't think im a serious lifter because im only 17. Maybe she is right though and i should just keep taking my multi vitamins tell im 18. What do you think i should do in this type of situation?
