UFC tonight

I'm off you whores to watch Silva get pwned tonight. Anyone else watching the fights tonight?

Mmmmm...much beer, bourbon, buddies, and violence. :)

I just ordered it, Arlovski is a f'n beast

Tanner decisively put Levens away with a triangle and looked better than ever, - could have a hell of a comeback year.

Karo Parysian beat the crap out of Nick Thompson.

Monson vs. Cruz: Dragged along, Monson did more damage and deservedly won but it wasnt his best fight.

Sherk vs. Diaz: Sherk was relentless but couldnt put Diaz away. Diaz didnt do much but avoid takedowns.

Tito vs. Forrest: First round was a flashback to the beatdown of Shamrock, Forrest didnt do **** and got pounded on the ground. Second and third rounds, Tito seemed to back off and be content to mostly counterpunch, didnt have the explosiveness to take Forrest down again. Forrest turned it up and was aggressive, but Tito landed the bigger punches. Turned out afterwards that Tito was fighting with partically torn ACL and MCL ligaments in one knee and a bulging disk, - all supposedly sustained during TUF 3. A pretty decent fight, but Forrest is still not in Titos class, espcially not if Titos had been 100%. Tito won by split decision.

Arlovski vs. Sylvia: Big surprise here. Arlovski knocked Sylvia down with a big right, but Sylvia got back up quickly although he looked rocked. Then Arlovski overcommited to a punch that missed and knocked him down with a short punch that really didnt look powerfull at all but clipped him right on the chin. Sylvia immediately jumped Arlovskis back and pounded him to a stoppage. Im sure we'll see a rematch soon, Arlovski was pissed.

I was gutted with the Arlovski result. Tito was the better fighter between him and Griffin but, Griffin will improve and I expect to see him holding a title at some point.

Totally agree about Tanner - he looks set for a good year.

All in all, a most entertaining evening :)

Yeah that was a great show! What makes it even greater is that us guys in the UK don't have to pay for it :D (but then again we don't see it live, and instead have to stay up until 2am to see all the action). Rather that than 40 bucks though.
I was quite disappointed by Arlovski this time round as well. He just wasn't as ferocious as he has been in the past. Comiserations for Forrest as well, he put up a damn good fight.

Does anyone know the story behind Shamrock and other UFC fighters falling out with Tito?

Tito Ortiz totally dominated a fight against ken shamrock back in 2000 I think. Totally destroyed his butt.

I just see ufc at a local place for 5 bucks. Huge rooms with tons of projection tvs and tons of beer. Place is also a huge arcade and billards place and laser tag lol.

I think it goes past that to be honest. Maybe to do with him being disrespectful towards ken after defeating him? Or to do with his time away from the UFC? Whatever it is, it looks as if Randy Couture has beef with him too since he refused to help train him, and Chuck didn't look too happy to see Tito beat Forrest on Saturday.
