Sport Turkey lunchmeat?

Sport Fitness
Are pre-packaged lunchmeats OK to eat? I know fresh turkey/chicken is better.. but if you're in a hurry or need to pack something, they're very convenient. No fat, but high in sodium. Hmm.

Thanks,
Dan

lunch meat/cold cuts.. tend to be pretty low on the healthy scale. Often these meats are ground up and gelatinized with all sorts of yummy additives. Avoid if you can.

if anything, go to an actual deli, and see if they have unprocessed turkey breast that they can slice upfor you. no preservatives, fillers, or tons of sodium.

i would look for that too, just remember that low in sodium and fat doesn't always mean they aren't filled with other sh*t though lol..

This is the best kind I've found so far:

Hormel Natural Choice Deli Tureky - comes in a brown/red package and has all natural ingredients, its minimally processed, no preservatives, gluten free, and still tastes super good.

In one serving (4 slices) there are:
60 calories
1g fat, - 2%
25mg cholesterol - 8%
440mg Sodium - 18%
1g Carbs
1g Sugar
10g Protein

hwy not deli lunch meats? i know we buy sliced chicken and sliced turkey breast its good for like a week, blackbear is the brand we get.
