Sport Tuna and vitamins question.

Sport Fitness
I read on Mens health that fish is great food for loosing weight and building abs. Now what i want to know if Tuna and turkey breast r good for this.

Also, i take protein shake in the morning. And i know theres alot of things like carbs, and vitamins that the body needs so couldnt this be solved by eating multivitamins and live off of Tuna and turkey sandwiches?

you've got to watch your tuna intake. tuna contains mercury, and too many cans of tuna in too short a time span can lead to mercury buildup/toxicity.

the guidelines I've seen state 5 tins of chunk light, or 3 tins of white albacore per week will ensure NO mercury buildup.

I suggest googling the topic, as selenium plays a role in removing mercury from the body, so there are ways to up tuna intake safely.

but I guarantee you'll never make it on tuna and turkey alone. eat chicken breasts, lean beef, hell even lean pork on occasion is fine (liek pork tenderloin, or lean chops with the fat not eaten).

fat doesn't make you fat!!!!!

but bread can...processed carbs. I never recommend bread be a part of anyone's cutting diet. for bulking its doable with the right breads.

oh, i didnt know that. thanks, i'll stick to chicken breast, tuna and turkey sandwiches on honey wheat bread XD. what kind of beef is lean? err whats it called?

avoid ground beef. stick to steak: top round, bottom round, eye of round, flank steak...even sirloin.
no ribeyes, porterhouse or t-bone though.

I would still say skip bread as much as possible. I don't care how multi-grain/wholegrain your bread is, its STILL PROCESSED CARBS. Oatmeal, on the other hand, still looks like grain...and is why its considered a good carb, even when cutting.
