Hello all,

All I have been able to do it maintain my weight.. I have decided that tomorrow will be another day.. another day where I will work harder for my goal. If anyone has any advice I would really appreciate it.

I am currently 25 years old. My current goal is to lose 75 pounds.

I'm right there with you, pal, same boat, same age almost and I can relate to it. Hang in there, go through the hard work and you will get the reward you seek in the end.

Welcome, I am a newbie here myself. Be glad you are starting at 25, wish I had started watching my weight 15 years ago. Try looking up a calorie calculator to determine your maintenance level of calories per day based on age, height, weight, and activity level. A 500 calorie deficit per day should drop you 1 pound a week. A 1000 calorie deficit is about a two pound a week loss. It is best not to try to cut your calorie level more than a 1000 calories per day(or below 1800 for men) It is best to go slow and easy for healthy weight loss. If you deprive yourself of to much food, you can harm your health and cause your body to burn muscle instead of fat.

Drink lots of water while you are losing weight. It might help to talk to a nutritionist or consult your doctor about healthy targets and a healthy diet for your situation for healthy weight loss. (I got a nutritional coach and had my doctor also make some diet recommendations to me) I am certain others here can give you some good ideas for diet as well.

There are some good fitness apps that can help you determine nutritional info for variouss foods so you can keep track of your intake.
