Hi ive started losing weight to get fit for jogging but a lot of loose skin is left around my belly after being overweight for 15 years. Diet & fitness wise how can I get it of ?thanks.

Hi Alistair. This is a common problem that others have as well. When you lose fat after being overweight for so long, it takes time for your skin to get used to the knew you. The best way to get the loose skin gone is to maintain the size and weight that you are now. Then, your skin will tighten up.

Use castor oil with lemon juice and rub it on your belly for 15 minutes every night

I am in the same situation, I'm 64 & have been overweight all my life, till now.
I've lost 34 pounds so far, & have another 15 to go to my target weight 210 lbs.
I now have a loose belly that is luckily under my belt so not readily noticeable until I strip for the shower.
I've seen the following recipe (online)
  • Castor oil – 2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice – 1tbsp
What you need to do:

  1. Combine well the lemon juice with castor oil.
  2. Rub this mixture on the loose skin before going to bed.
  3. Next morning take bath with warm water.
  4. Use this remedy every night for the best results against the loose skin.
Does anyone have any experience using it? does it work?

If you ever red "Tom Sawyer" you'll know his Aunt administered a spoon full every day as a "cures all that ails ya" remedy.
I believe it was foul tasting, & primarily acted as a laxative.
I googled it & got the following:
Castor oil is a multi-purpose vegetable oil that people have used for thousands of years.
It’s made by extracting oil from the seeds of the Ricinus communis plant.
These seeds, which are known as castor beans, contain a toxic enzyme called ricin. However, the heating process that castor oil undergoes deactivates it, allowing the oil to be used safely.
Castor oil has a number of medicinal, industrial and pharmaceutical uses.
It's commonly used as an additive in foods, medications and skin care products, as well as an industrial lubricant and biodiesel fuel component.
In ancient Egypt, castor oil was burned as fuel in lamps, used as a natural remedy to treat ailments like eye irritation and even given to pregnant women to stimulate labor .
Today, castor oil remains a popular natural treatment for common conditions like constipation and skin ailments and is commonly used in natural beauty products.
Here are 7 benefits and uses of castor oil.
1) powerful laxative
2) natural moisturizer
3) promotes wound healing
4) anti-inflammatory
5) reduces acne
6) anti fungal
7) scalp treatment
