trying hard

I have been really good about what I eat. I did have pizza yesterday but I hadn't eaten anything all day so to me it weighs out. Today for lunch I am having some carrots. I always get tired when I eat a heavier lunch so now I usually eat either carrots or celery as finger foods just to get me until supper. I do drink alot of diet drinks which i know isn't good but hey one thing at a time. I do love water though to. Today isn't a high craving day so I am doing well today. Some days it is really hard to stay on track.

By the way I have been trying the jump rope thing and well I can only do it about a minute or two and I am already tired. My question is how long does it take to really start jumping for a while and how does one know how to train?
Help would be appreciated!!!
 
dON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT JUMP ROPE, ALL I KNOW IS THAT IF YOU DO AN HOUR STRAIGHT YOU'LL BURN 1,000 CALS. YAY!!!! BUT I DON'T HAVE THE STRENGHT TO DO SO FOR AN HOUR.LOL...... I ALSO HAVE A WEKKNESS FOR THE DIET SODAS. BUT I MAKE SURE I DRINK MY WATER BEFORE HAND. WELL, HOPE TOMORROW IS A BETTER DAY. HAVE A GOOD ONE AND DRINK YOUR WATER:D
 
Hi there,

I jump rope in the evening as part of my circuit....I couldn't do 30 seconds of it to start with, now I can do up to 20 minutes at a time or more but usually do it in 10 minute sessions and do 2 or 3 sets of this. My advice is to start out slow, I started out just doing 50 jumps then doing a strength exercise, then going back to do 50 more jumps. After that I moved onto 100 skips at a time. when I got better at it I started to do it to music and would aim to skip for a whole song, then as I got better moved onto two songs and so on (the average song is about 3 minutes)

I found skipping improved my fitness quicker than any other exercise:D

Hope this helps....remember to eat regular meals, that is a real key to weight loss.

Your off to a great start- and mumtotwo is right, its hard to get it goin at first on the jump rope- just like any cardio can be- but its soooo good for you... you can burn more calories in 15 minutes of jumprope than in 30minutes of jogging! keep workin on it, it'll get there :D

Thanks alot for the advice this really will help me especially the song thing I had never thought of that and also I will try the skipping thing I guess I am sure I have looked nuts before. Thanks alot!!!

Feeling smaller

Wow, today I am feeling great!!! My diet may not be making me any smaller in size but in my mind I am feeling pretty damn good. I have been working out and trying to eat right. I am on board the change of life train. Brought my jump rope to work today so I could squeeze in a few jumps. Every one has my support just keep on moving we will all get there soon.
 
Glad to see you are in good spirits! Way to go on bringing the jump rope to work you are motivated!!!!!

Where is everyone

So I am sitting here wondering why no one ever reads or responds to my diary entry's. I used to come on here before and quit for this same reason. I know I am a new person but getting response is what I look forward to everyday but everyday may be one or two people have even looked at my thoughts. Am I doing something wrong? Excuse me if i seem ugly but hello this is what this site is about. Anyway my spirits today as you can see are down and I don't wanna take it out on anyone I do see this as being a who you are kind of place and it is just upsetting when you don't fit into the community.
 
Sorry you feel that way, I believe i did respond to one of your posts yesterday maybe you just missed it? I can't speak for everyone but I take a few minutes out a couple times a day while at work to try to post in some journals, usually the ones who take the time to post in mine, but then it's back to work.

Hi Cherylhop....I saw your post about no one responding to your diary. I think a problem was that you had 2 diaries opened....

so I combined the 2 together to cut down confusion...I hope that was ok w/ you!
 
Cheryl I Am Completely Sorry And We Are Combining Your Diaries So We Can Know Which One To Use! I Try To Get To Diaries Daily And I Have Neglected This Week I Am So Sorry! It Is Hard With All The Diaries Going Please Dont Feel Like Your Not Cared For Or Are Goingto Be Supported ! To Tell Ya The Truth Its Hard Cause We Support Diaries And The People Disappear So We Have No Idea Who Is Back Or What Is Going On! You Are A Part Of This Family We All Stick Together We All Try And I Am Sure I Am Speaking For All Of Us We Never Meant To Hurt Your Feelings! It Will Be A Lot Better Now That We Are Aware You Are Back And Do Need Support! And Again I Am So Sorry!

No offense but you make it hard for anyone to keep up with what is going on with you because you keep starting new threads for each topic or day instead of keeping a "diary" going under one thread. If you would start a thread that is a diary, like everyone else's, and keep posting your entries in one place then we could keep up with what is going on and be able to respond to you. :)
