I have started a new routine at work, if your work has stairs try this it's great. Every time I get up to get water or go to the bathroom i trot down 4 or 5 flights of stairs and walk back up. I try to do this at least 10 times a day. After the first week i can already tell a difference and combine this with my 4 miles of walking a night and i get plenty of good exercise. Hey why not work out at work kill two birds with one stone.:D

its a great idea! i just wish i had access to stairs.

Yeah, I do that but only once a day, 6 floors, sometimes 8. Not enough to give any real results, but figured something is better then nothing... 10 times sounds like a lot! Good job!

hey that sounds great but i am not working right now. BUT i have two steps that lead into my kitchen???? MAYBE UP & DOWN 100 TIMES when i go to get a drink of water?????? WHAT DO YOU THINK????? LISRENEE

When I went to school, i'd go up and down stairs and pauce for jumping jacks everyonce and awhile. Embarrassing when i got caught though...

I'm embarrassed too when people see me walking the stairs at work, I am not really sure why... I hate people see me exercising, unless its a sport activity. Its really weired. If I jog or walk for exercise, I'm embarrased, but I love skiing, skating and horseback riding, and people watching me does not phase me a bit even if I suck... Really weird!

Thats probably to do with the fact that with Horseback riding, skiing etc your exercising, but at the same time your also having a hell of a lot of fun. So.. due to the fact that you enjoying what your doing.. its not seen as such a chore.. therefore not exercise.. that make sense? :D hehe

Good point Pinky. Its something phycological, that has to do with exercise for the sake of exercise. You're right, I don't like exercising at all. :) But I do love certain sports!
