Trials of Self-Inflicted Exercise

*Waves to all*

I've finally worked up the gall to delurk and scribble on the forum. Now to introductions, which I've never been really good at, so stats must do: my name's Mara, presently 19 years old. Most of the time I am busy being a Serious Minded Student. I'm 5'4" in height, and I believe my weight is currently 130.5lbs, but the scale is temperamental, as am I.

For the summer I want to tone up to 118lbs, which was my weight when I was a competitive dragonboater. (Of course, it was only my highschool team, but it sounds better the first way.) I've started exercising in earnest this January; usually I do one hour of p90x a day, and - my hockey skills being as they are - 10 minutes of field hockey play on Sundays.

Nutrition-wise I'm trying a lenient junk food band and lenient vegetarianism.

I hope all goes well. Good luck with your plans.

Today I had a 1 1/2 hour yoga session (the Yoga X part of p90x). The first hour was brutal, and I think I spent most of it face-down on my carpet weakly muttering about vacuum cleaners. The last half hour was worth it, and then all was well.

Can't quite remember my food intake. Was quite healthy: spaghetti, bok choi, sweet sweet sugar mandarin oranges, bread, some pork. Though I confess I stole a few chocolate chips from a cookie.

STATS:
Weight: 130.5lbs
Feeling: Pretty tired.

My goal tomorrow: drink more water, sleep better, score a goal during hockey.
