Sport Treats - how often??

Considering i'm on a cutting diet and a very strict workout regime, i eat about 85% clean and Im doing great..
I was just wondering about this: How often is it ok to give myself a treat, like a pizza, a big dinner in a restaurant, 2-3pc of cake ... you know, anything that's basically very bad for me but soooo tastefull :)
every 2-3 days, weekly, monthly...? Just not to interfere seriously into my achieving my goals..?

How often totally depends on how your body reacts to diet and excercise. Some people can do once a week some can only do once a month. If your weekly treat is not hindering your progress then go ahead but if it is you need to clean up more.

Also note that any treats you should be a part and not in addition to the 15% of your food consumption that is not clean. You should still aim for 85% clean.

BTW how do you estimate your 85%?
 
Ideally? As little as possible.

However, consider 2 scenarios.....

1. - you eat perfect as can be and workout flawlessly, with only the rarest of rare treats - you are achieving awesome results and feel great - but the call of the cheeseburger beckons you constantly - after a while, you can't take it anymore, give in and fall off the wagon

2. - you eat great, and workout consistently - your results are pretty good, but could be better if you didn't have that treat quite so often - you aren't being driven nuts by the taunting of treats you never get, so you continue on your program, and while, your results aren't quite as fast as they could be, you are able to maintain your program consistently and are able to reach your goals

Yes, treats can hinder some of your progress, but if it keeps you on the wagon, then it's worth it. If you allow yourself, say, one cheat meal a week. That isn't as good as once a month, but if that's what it takes to keep you going, then it's by far worth the extra calories. The not-as-perfect cutting plan for several months is far better than the perfect cutting plan for 6 weeks.

1-2 a week should be fine.

If you are eating 85% clean than the other 15% should be foods that you would otherwise not consume. Are you adding another treat on top of the 15%?

Try and consume 1-2 cheatmeals per week and be sure you just don't gorge yourself and you should still see progress.
