Treadmill workout

Hi,

I'm 15 years old, and 5 foot 9. I weigh 167kg and want to get fit. Every morning I do 20 minutes on the treadmill at 10kmph. This is burning about 300 calories and going around 3 and a half kilometres. I've been doing this for around 2 months and have lost 20kg. My diet is quite healthy, 3 meals a day, some fruit and plenty of water. I also list some weights about 3 times a week-10kg 10 times on each arm. I do this 5 times on each arm.

I'm just wondering is this a good plan? What do I need to improve? Thanks in advance.

Oops, lol, just realized I said 167kg, when I meant 167 pounds.

One thing you may want to do to increase your workout, if your tredmill has it, is an incline. This can significantly increase how much you burn and your real world running stamina. It sounds like you are working out at home? Without knowing what equipment you have it would be hard to say what to add or change.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I have't got much equipment at home, just dumbells and a treadmill. I've also got one of them stepping machines and a excercise bike, but don't use them much.

I'll try the incline thing tommorow, and see if it changes the distance I run/calories I burn. Thanks again.
