Treadmill safety key lost - HELP!

Hi,

I have a WESLO CADENCE WLTL85054 Treadmill. We have lost the safety key and was wondering if there is someway to bypass that feature or possible "jerry rig" it to get it to work asap. I don't want to waste time searching all over creation trying to find a replacement.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We had a Welso with the slide in key and when the boys lost it my husband made another key with a similar sized piece of plastic. My new treadmil has a magnetic key, so I would guess that any small magnet would do the job as well. The keys work by either interrupting or engaging something. Once you know which way your key worked you should be able to figure out a solution. Good luck!
