Treadmill Help Please......

I am new to this board. I have been a member at a gym for most of my life. However, now with 2 children (one starting school) and being a coach myself I need a treadmill that I can use at home. I run 5-6 times a week and do lots of interval sprints. I need a treadmill that can handle heavy usage. My wife will walk 3-4 times a week on it.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a quality home treadmill. Being a coach keeps me on a tight budget. I am scared to spend $1000 only to have a platform or something break 6 months in. What is the best treadmill in $1000-$1500 range.

Thanks in advance.

If you're looking to stay on the low-end, below $1500, buy something from Horizon fitness. If you want a high-end unit get sonething from SOLE or SPIRIT fitness.

I have a pro-form (that's about all I know about it). It also has the quick speed which is nice. There is also a way to hook it to the computer for workout programs on the webpage (never have done that). My daughter and I use it quite a bit. We bought it used from a lady who couldn't use it anymore cause of her knees or something like that. We paid $50. So, you don't have to spend alot to get a good treadmill. Just check you local ads. Someone always is trying to get rid of one that they bought with good intention and then don't use it.

My only advice would be if you're gonna buy new and they offer one of those "maintenance contracts" or "extended warranties"....buy it. Mine now skips (almost stops for split seconds) here and there and of course, only a month after the warranty expired!

Look around, there is a LOT out there in your price range.
