treadmill cushioning/ adjustments

I have a mid-range consumer treadmill. I really like running sprints at the gym, the treadmill is so much nicer to run on than the one I have at home. I really can't afford thousands for a high end one like the gym has. I really don't want to drive to the gym on my non-regular workout days just to use the treadmills.

The one I have at home is 2.5 hp. I don't believe the belt is worn. It's supposed to have something called "cushion cell" to help with impact relief but it's still pretty much like running on a piece of board.

I realize I'm not going to get the same feel as the probably $5000 treadmill they have at the gym but is there anything I can do to optimize what I do have? Any way to add some cushioning or something?

Sorry, I'm not sure that anything can be done... have you contacted the company that makes the treadmill?
