Treadmill after workout? Muscle Loss?

So I workout 2 muscle groups every other day. After that I hit the treadmill for 2 miles and that usually takes me almost half an hour (first mile is jogged/light sprint and the 2nd mile is split between power walking and jogging). I'm planning to run treadmill on my days off too, same 2 mile formula. Would all that running cause some muscle loss in the long run? Right now I'm trying to cut weight before bulking up.

Muscle loss should be at a minimum if you're lifting and running. Toward the end of the cut, don't be surprised if you notice a bit of a decline in how much you're lifting though, due to the caloric deficit you're eating to lose weight.

A lot of guys do cardio while cutting, but I wouldn't do it while I was bulking.

At 2 miles, you shouldn't be experiencing muscle loss. However, the extra caloric expenditure will mean a delay in muscle growth, so be sure to increase your food intake to meet your increased requirements.

Aslong as you are taking in enough calories I doubt you will have any issues. If in doubt take in calories as you train, I use chocolate milkshake.

If you're main focus is to build muscle currently, then I would focus on that.
At a later stage you can then focus on losing the excessive weight you have gained by doing the usual cardio exercises.
