Transformation Time Frame

Hi everyone, I'm new here and just getting started. Before I get to my questions I'll tell you a little about me. I'm 33 years old and currently weigh in at 254 pounds. I'm not sure of my body fat percentage but I think about a year ago it was around 28%. I'm trying to change my diet right now, up till now it has been cheeseburgers only pretty much. I've started jogging and I do core exercises on an exercise ball. I've seen a lot of transformation pics here and in other places and they all look great. Kudos to everyone. My question is this. How long does it take the average person. The changes look so dramatic that I'm guessing 1-2 years minimum. I've heard claims of like 12 weeks, but is this realistic? Thanks for you comments and opinions.

Yep 2 years is a good bench mark from fat to built. As for 12 weeks a bit of a crock of sh** really.

The 12 weeks is what it usually takes to see changes if someone is hitting all the angles-cardio, resistance training, nutrition. It's when adaptations have started to set in.

The key with excercises is getting to know your body. It will take years to do that. How to train, how to diet properly etc.
The key for weightloss is diet and cardio. There is probably a ton of posts on here so use the search button and Im sure you'll find what your looking for.
