Training for Cricket

Hi,
I am trying to increase my fitness for cricket ( I am a bowler ). Currently I get on the treadmill 3times a week for 20mins and this is doing the job ( i know there are other things to do - but this is working ). I want to increase the intensity and would like to know others opinion on this. Should I continue to run at the current speed on the treadmill but run longer. Or should I increase the treadmill speed and run for the same 20mins still??

Which do you think would be more effective at increasing my fitness levels?

I would suggest increasing your running time first, and then once you're used to the new distance, then you should gradually increase your pace. Doing this will give you a good, balanced increase in both your endurance and your raw speed. I would also incorporate some sprints into your routine, such as as a couple 30-60s sprint intervals.
