Sport Track season is coming up.

Sport Fitness
Football is almost over with 1 week left. I get a 1 week break and then I am into track season.

I'm going to be doing Cross Country which is training for the 5K (3.11 miles).

My first goal is to cut and get down to 8-10% bodyfat.

To achieve my goals:
How should I train?
How should I eat?

I'm confused because I have never done tons of running so I'm wandering how I'm gonna fit leg weight lifting workouts in and since I'm running so much Carbs is necessary but at the same time KETO works really awesome for me when I cut and that is my main goal.

Why do additional cutting on top of training for an event that is catabolic in nature? Xcountry training is running a ****load. That's all it is.

Maybe FF can help you with the lifting.

Umm...

This is what is confusing me though.

My main goal- after football; is just getting ripped up.

And I don't think track can be that catabolic- just after all the running I can just consume a protein shake and I will be fine.

Well a ton of cardio and any type of lifting will take care of that. Obviously you can't eat 10000 cals a day as you won't be burning quite that much...but running 30 miles a week is going to burn more fat than football practice. Don't focus too much on the diet and just do what they ask in practice for a few weeks and see if you need to adjust your diet then.

Good Idea. I will take it week by week then and see what happens.

Decided not to do Winter Track- probably will do Spring Track though.

I need a break from sports for a few months. Don't think I'm gonna work either. Thinking about just focusing on my grades and working out.

I will do cardio though probably 2x a week.
