Toytowndoll's wheeling her way to fitness...

So a quick introduction (as it's midnight and I have work tomorrow!).

I'm 23, 5'3, weigh around 150 pounds (but will confirm that as I get more routined with my weighing & measuring).

I have a cross trainer, it's quite a sturdy model, seems to work the legs more than the arms but it's better than nothing.

I have a push bike which I occasionally commute to work on (short journey, it's more pleasurable than a work out) but I plan to start doing some decent miles on it.

I've also been training for roller derby for around a month now. Got a decent pair of skates and a growing confidence on them (as well as the neccessary pads and helmet!).

I managed to slim down to around 140 pounds last year by using the cross trainer daily and weighing my food to keep my daily calorie intake between 1500-1800. I lost quite a few inches all over the place by doing this. I have since put the weight back on because I've let life get on top of me.

This time around I'd like to drop a little weight and lose some inches but I know that I'm gonna increase my muscle with the stuff I'll be doing, so weight isn't so important. I mainly just want to get fit and build up my stamina so that I can kick some roller derby ass (and feel good!).

I'll try and post some stats soon!

Do you plan on any strength training/weight lifting?

I am hoping to use free weights as well as things like squats and crunches. The squats will be doubley useful for the roller derby stance!

Ahh it's a bit mental at the moment, trying to find time to update some stats.

I'm off to roller derby practice in a bit (cycling). I bought an iPod yesterday so I've got something to listen to whilst working out, and I've just decided I'm gonna learn to ride a motorbike so I'm on a bit of a high at the moment!

Today it was my second day back to work after 2 weeks off and I'm knackered. Hopefully I can catch up on some sleep these next few days and get cracking with some workouts.
