too much protien?

Just a quick question i dont eat very good due to lack of time and i know how important it is. I am currently taking muscle milk and i have a shake in the morning sometimes lunch and then before i work out and then before bed. Am i taking too many shakes a day? I am just trying to get a good amount of protien intake. Also i mix the shake with milk and when i drink it out of a glass the protien gets stuck to the side of the glass how can i avoid this
 
Most of your protein (and all other nutrients) should come from food, not supplements. So, 3 shakes a day is not ideal. Also, I believe muscle milk has quite a bit of fat and sugar in it, so you want to be careful there, depending on your goals, caloric needs, etc. Many people recommend 1gm of protein per pound of bodyweight for those who are weight training, but again, most of that should be from real food, and shakes etc should only be used to fill in the gap as needed.
