Sport too much protein?

So, I've been trying this new diet that I thought appropriate and I wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions to tweak it, because I think I get too much protein. =/

Breakfast (300 calories, ~24 grams of protein)

Two egg omelet with a little cheese and 1 cup of 1% milk


Mid Morning Snack (200 calories, ~8 grams of protein)

Low fat Flavored Yogurt

Banana


Lunch (400 calories, ~30 grams of protein)

Chicken salad with tossed lettuce and spinach, some carrots, low cal. vinagrette, onions, some bacon bits, and tomatoes (decent size)

1 slice of 9 Grain Bread


WORKOUT

Post Workout (200 Calories, ~40 grams of protein)

Isopure Protein


Mid Afternoon Snack (250 Calories, 15 grams of protein)

Blueberries
Small Beef Jerky
Bell Pepper

Dinner (400 calories, 40 grams of protein)

Tuna with tossed greens and spinach, different dressing, pistachios, tomatoes, carrots, onions, and whatever else I choose to throw in. ;)


Desert (150 calories, 15 games of protein)

High Protein Atkins Advantage Bar



So that puts me at:

Calories: 1900
Protein: 172 grams of protein



Current weight: 140 pounds.


So... I think my body will just end up throwing away some of the protein and I will continue to lose weight considering I am 16 and really only eating 1900 calories a day. =/
 
Uh...I get like 250g of protein a day. I've noticed that your meals seem to fluctuate drastically in the calorie and gram department.

Don't worry about if it's too much, worry about controlling everything.
 
Nah thats not too many. Any extra protein you eat will just be peed, or pooped out. Right now I'm getting about 250g's as well, so 172g isn't too much.
 
If you don't give your protein something to bond to ( as in the carbs missing above), then you gotta break it down to use it or you loose it in pee. Protein usually takes anywhere upto 8-10hrs to breakdown if unassisted.


you have no carbs in the morning at all.. not even 4 gms .. and I won't support it.

I think you're setting yourself up for trouble.

P.s. I think you get not enough of either. What gender and How tall are you?

This is just an update, but for my August bulking diet, I am going to be ingesting around 400g of protein daily, so stop bitching.
 
What else are you doing with that 400??
