Too Much Information Here - BUT I Have To Ask

I've been searching on the web for answers to this strange phenomena...

Ever since I've been working out every day, my sex drive is gone through the roof.

I cannot stop thinking about it. Morning, noon and night (even waking up in the middle of the night). Every day.

Is there a correlation between working out and increased sex drive?

(OMG  am I turning into a man?)

(OMG am I turning into a man?)

Bwhwhahahahaha!

(Not very helpful I know - but I just had to laugh!)

Have you been working out long? Lost much weight? Sometimes, just leading a healthier life, feeling more confident about ourselves is just what the libido needs.

Enjoy :)

In that case, my telephone number is 555-......

:p

Completely kidding. A high sex drive is never a bad thing! ;)

:p Too funny. I've been working out every day since January 1st but it's more than just feeling good about my body....it's like these urges and I cannot stop thinking about it.

[i cannot even tell my husband or we will be shacked up 24/7]

Maybe the exercise is causing a surge in horomones???

Too Funny

YES indeed however our baby would be totally neglected and I would not leave our bed if he knew the extent that I'm thinking about it... (don't get me wrong - it's a great thing)

LOL

He knows something is up and is happy but I can only let him know a portion of it...

Self help is now a mandatory part of my day. LMAO:cool:

[The title did say "too much information"]

i can definitely sympathize with you...for me, it's the surge in confidence. you've gotta show off your hard work somewhere!

Weight training

I've been doing a mixture of weight training with barbells, pilates, step machine, aerobics and dance. Lately tho I've been focusing more on strength training since I need to not lose weight, rather tighten and tone my post pregnancy bod.

While strength training is a very effective tool for weight loss (maybe even more so than aerobic training (cardio)) I think that the extra hormone release could be the culprit of your increase drive.

While its not as significant as steroid supplementation, I think you'll probably level back out (maybe).

It could also have a lot to do with the endorphins released when exercising.

I know that after exercise I feel so pumped up and euphoric it almost feels like a drug or alcohol high and I feel like some of inhibitions are gone.

I am sure that endorphins play at least some role.

I Have An Idea

I have an idea.....

All men should cut back on their exercising and all women should start exercising a little more.

What a happy balance it will be.:p

[joke!]

There are far worse things in life than screwing your husband because you actually WANT to. :D

LOL LOVE IT!!!

I think it is a combo of what everyone is saying. Increased blood flow will do that, if you have ever been PG you get that "issue" as well.
I also wonder if the endorfen (sorry for the spelling on that) you are releasing have anything to do with it. Sometimes when im working out really really hard it feel kina good if you know what I mean:p
But I think one of the main things i noticed is that i just felt good about myself for the first time in a long time and i felt really sexy and sexual,,,,,good thing im married!!! hehe

i don't know if it was this post or my workout or the fact that I can get into my jeans again but I have started to feel more sexual too.

The best thing is....if you are playing "chess" on a more regular basis, that also helps tone and tighten also - a win win situation.

Yippee!

I love playing chess now, especially when I get CHECKMATE!:p

(if you look up sexual activity in fitday.com it will give you different levels of moderate to high intensity. i told hubby we needed to stoke the fire a bit more so i can burn more calories. he looked at me with bug eyes and asked what was going on with me lately) :D
