Hey.

Judging on my stats: 82.5kg, 5.8 height, male and 18 years young; I worked out my BMR= 1333.8 (I do 30 mins of cardio per day), which is 2068 calories.

So, considering the guideline of no more than 30% cut (30% of 2068= 620 roughly), I worked out I would need 1447 calories to lose weight at a steady rate.

However, I was thinking, is this too little, taking my 30 mins of cardio 5-7 days per week into account?

Just want to make sure.

Hey.

How did you work out your BMR to be that? I just calculated it and it was 1937 calories. So if you didnt exercise you would need 2324 calories per day, just say you run for 40 minutes one day you would need approx 2800 calories to maintain your weight

I think 30% is too big of a cut. Including your exercise you are probably maintaining at 2800 calories per day, so if you cut 20% off that you would need to intake: 2240.

So yes. You would be taking in WAAAAY too little at 1447 calories.

You're totally right... I put my KG weight into the BMR calculator and it screwed everything up.

My BMR= 1941
Making my DCI= 2668 (I consider 30mins cardio as lightly active, meaning I multiply my BMR by 1.375)
30% Cut would be 2668-800 = 1800 Calories.

Apologies for the mistake.
