A while back I ventured into a supplement company's forum and started 'cleaning house' with the misinformation not only members were spreading, but also moderators and owners of the site. It was littered with bodybuilding myths, which I like to call bro-telligence.
Once people started respecting my word, it turned ugly when I started talking down on the supplement company. I guess I can understand, since the forum was owned by a supplement company. But I didn't say anything disrepectful and always spoke in generalities. I even admitted my ignorance of said supp company. Eventually they started censoring my posts and that was the end of my visits.
I was surprised to see that after I left, pretty much no posts were made. So I decided to drop on the other day and this is the conversation that ensued.

This place really died down.
Wonder if the censorship had anything to do with it?
Seemed a lot more active when I was dropping in on a daily basis.
Too bad.
Sense my sarcasm, lol.

I check it almost every day. I used to LOVE to post here but at my pinnacle of mixing it up here I got other people talking. Now it seems like just Lostboy, BigRob and Foyer talk. I can TEXT them if I wanted to.
I'll throw up a POST here and there as I see fit but who's going to reply? Who's going to talk? Lots of people REGISTERED here but hardly any of them ever do anything here.
I'll keep reading and I'll keep throwing up flags but it's tough. I don't think Censorship is a problem here.
STROUTMAN...why don't you help me out over on You're a local guy, right? Come mix it up a little bit there.
Also...why don't you POST on the most powerful and most EPIC of all bodybuilding message boards? The most notorious and viscious...GETBIG.com.
Block.
Me:
Nope, I'm a Pennsylvania boy. Philly to be exact.
I frequent about 20 forums daily and I tend to stay out of the bodybuilding ones for the simple fact that my experience on them has been sub-par. Lot's of misinformation and bro-science being passed around as fact.
I do belong to bodybuilding sites but they are much more low key.
What's so great about getbig?

Stroutman,
Getbig.com is the most EPIC...the most MONSTER and most BRUTAL of all bodybuilding forums.
Just spend some time there but be careful because the site if loaded with vultures and wild hyenas that will spit you out and eat you alive and leave you in a pool of your own saliva on the floor as you shake while the music of 'The Crying Game' plays ever so softly in the backround.
It is the most popular BB forum ever and will always remain that way. I'm sure you can find your niche' there but I would reccomend you get affiliated right away. Getbig.com is the 'San Quentin' of all internet forums. The law there is 'OWN or be OWNED'.
Good luck.
lol

Yea, that's not my style. I'm not into popularity contests. I'm all about the integrity of sound information. What you just described sounds like the exact reason I stay away from most bodybuilding forums out there, nothing against you.
Someone who is highly educated and successful can come in slinging sound ****, but b/c you aren't known or affiliated the masses of e-tards toss facts right out the window, drowning out the soundness with bro-telligence.
I could be wrong about your "wilderness." I'm just talking about my general experiences. Maybe I'll stop in and see if the site proves me wrong.
