Toms weight loss - Newbie

Hi All
I'am new to the forum, and i have started to exercise since last week 5th june. I orginally weighed in at 15 stone. I have cut down from eating pizza etc to eating chicken, steak salads and basically not eating any crap!

I have been doing Bike, rowing and running for at least 1 - 2 hrs /day depending on how i feel after work. I might just do an hour a day.

When i weight myself at the end of last week i was 14.6 Stone so i had lost 4 pounds. Then when i weight myself the beginning of this week i was 14.7-14.8 Stone i had gained weight but i hadnt changed anything? This is where am confused???? Should it be consitanly going down or does it go up and down i dont get it.

My goal is to get down to 11 - 12 Stone i was once 10 stone 3 years ago.
 
Don't forget, muscle weighs more than fat, so there may be times when the scale shows an increase even if you are doing really well. Also, you could have eaten too much salt and been retaining water. Don't beat yourself up! Keep up the positive changes and your results will be fantastic!
 
fluctuations

Keep eating healthy and exercising. Sillygirl is right about the muscle thing, and the scale will likely also show fluctuations due to water retention. If you eat salty foods, you may retain water for a couple of days and be heavier until you get rid of that water again. If the ups and downs of the scale discourage you (I have that problem) then make a committment to weigh yourself only once a week - or if you can handle it, once a month! The net change will almost always be a loss!
 
i got home weighd myself again and i was 14.4-14.5 so very strange as you guys say must be water etc..!

I'am aiming for 11-12st should take me about 6-12months.
