Welcome To Tommys Journal​

Everyday I go through Weight Training,Exercising,Weight Loss, or just hard times I will report here with it! My first entry will be tonight on 4/14. 9:30 PM ( Eastern ). I really would love to get this weight-loss on the run and get it off ASAP. But im setting a doable time frame.

I Currently Weigh : 301 Pounds
I Have Currently Lost : 0 Pounds
My Goal Weight : 165 Pounds
Time Frame : April 14th 2006 /to: November 25th 2006!

This gives me 224 days to loose 136 pounds! That's only 0.6 pounds per day!! I am so excited to be sharing my journey with everyone! Let's send this weight off to the road!


The week of April 15th-April 21st, My goal is to lose 7-8 pounds in my first week of exercising & dieting. I think this is a great goal because usually people lose a lot their first week! I hope you all maintain your goals and lose all the weight you want :) Join me on my journey as I do so..

Journal #1 - April 14th 06

Today was a very interesting day full of emotion exercising and dieting! I loved it. I feel so good.

I woke up around 10:30 AM, went downstairs and opened up a slim-fast along with a Vitamin Pill full of vitamins. I drank the slim fast and took the vitamin.

I sat around for about 2 hours watching TV and just resting since it's spring break now!

Around 2:30 I went for a bike ride for 1 mile. I went home and ate lunch which to my surprise was McDonalds. I didn't want to eat it but had to--my mom forced me. So I only ate the chicken part ( It was healthy atleast ) -- I didnt eat the fries and substituded that with a Orange Smoothie with very little milk. Didnt taste great but good enough..

I then went on another bike ride around 3:30-5:00 for 2 1/2 miles. I felt great.


I came home and ate 1 1/2 Egg Salad Sandwhiches with only 2 tablespoons on each sandwhich ( wheat bread )

It was emotional because of problems but it all turned out well..

Im now sitting here typing this. I feell great


kinda sore/tired but it'll be all good!

I cant wait for tomorow!

Hey Tommy. Welcome to wild journey of weight loss :p It sounds like you've tried this before or at least looked into it so I'm sure you know the basics. I've found the best things that have helped are lots of water and apples. Apples are a great stomach filler and water helps flush out all the bad stuff!

Also, I wonder if you've set your goal a little too high? Losing over half a pound a day is going to get very hard, especially when you hit those plateaus. I don't mean to put you down or anything, I'm just saying it's going to be very hard. Weight loss needs to become a life-style, not just about losing weight.

Also, the mcdonalds was bad. You tried your best to make it better but you gotta avoid that as much as possible. Believe me, I know it's hard. My family eats terribly! But go out and get veggies and fruits that you can substitute in for meals when the rest of the family isn't eating healthy.

I got to admit, I'm jealous of your bike riding. I'd love to go bike riding like that but I just don't find any enjoyment in it. My brother's tire is flat so he can't ride with me and that's really boring. I should get back on my bike though! You may have just inspired me to get back out on my bike! :) Thanks!

Ocire - Yeah I may have set my goal a little bit to high. My mom said maybe 100 pounds by november. But if I don't get there Ill move he 36 pounds to January 1st or something :) Thanks so much for your advice about Apples. I don't really like them to much. But I eat them even if I have to because I'm hungry. And about the bike thing. It actually is boring if you just go and bike ride. That's why I bring my music with me whenever I go and listen to that while i'm riding. It makes time go by much much faster!!!! And, I am definitly taking your advice about the family eating bad and stuff. Yesterday my mom went out and bought two boxes of chocolate donuts..I wanted one so badly but i just told myself I can't. Why take 10 minutes of pleasure when you have to spend months of torture. Anyways thanks for all the advice and hopefully you'll get on that bike :) It's a great exercise!! - Tommy
 
So my mom made me weight in this morning because I got up and she looked at me and said " All the water is gone " and im like what?!? and she said go weigh yourself. I did. And I have lost 4 pounds since yesterday morning. I know it's all water weight but it's a great motivation! Anyways..yeah Im excited to go back out today but catch ya'll later!!!:p
 
That's awesome, Tommy. Listening to music while bike riding, that's a good idea. Thinking about it, a lot of people do that when they run and what not. I should do that, thanks! :)

Good job on resisting those donuts. It's funny but after awhile of eating healthy, those cravings for donuts and things kind of go away. I'd pick an apple over a snickers these days. Two months ago, yeah right! :p
