Tolerating pain caused by lactic acid

Hello, I'm wondering if anyone knows of techniques for tolerating the pain caused by the build-up of lactic acid etc. generated during anaerobic exercises?

What techniques have you used/would you use?

Since this type of pain is, as I understand it, not actually anything to be concerned about, but is a major barrier to progress for I'm sure all of us here, how can you 'break through' it?

For instance I find bicep curls to be my worst nemesis only due to the buildup of lactic acid, not because my muscles are not capable of lifting a particular amount.

How many reps do you use?

In terms of strength training, lactic acid is hardly ever my limiting factor. I focus on rep ranges that are far lower than what would be required to deal with that sort of fatigue.

It is all about how you percieve the feeling associated with lactic acid build up:
1. block it out by concentrating on the movement, your breathing or something else like thinking about your "happy" place
2. embrace it as a "good" feeling that you want to achieve to insure maximum stimulation.
