hey all! :)

i'm new here!

(obviously! since this is my very first post!)

anyways i've been exercising (hitting the gym and jogging) for the past month at least thrice a week but i'm thinking of upping it to 5 times a week now.

i have big calf muscles (yikes!)

and i was thinking if jogging would make my calves any bigger?

also been trying to eat clean (think yogurt, muesli, fruits etc) and i was wondering what do you guys eat when you guys are feeling peckish?

and also how do you curb the temptations if you wanna eat something reeeaally fried and unhealthy... say macdonalds or something!

hit me back with all your replies!

:)

Hey there VernieWernie, welcome to the weightloss forum!

Well done to you for keeping up with the constant exercise.

Those temptations come very often, however I find a good way for myself to steer myself away from such temptations is to eat every 2-3hrs, and if the temptation is strong I try eat something higher in protein so keep my filling fuller thus curbing 'hunger' side of the food, then just making it up to your will power to say 'no,' to fight off the sheer 'desire/want' urge for that unhealthy treat.

Also keeping myself busy doing other things keeps my mind off food

Fruit is also a good way to keep the sugar cravings down too, though I try not to binge on fruit too much since too much of that natural sugar isn't very good.

Not really alot, depends how much you're eating in those 5-7 meals a day, but the idea is not to eat a whole heap in one sitting, but rather spread it out through the day to keep your metobolism going strong all day.

As for what to eat, a good idea to start is find out how much calories you need to consume to loose weight and divide it throughout the day in small meals, But you could do the usualy 3 meals and 3 snacks inbetween

Nut's are good, amonds are best in my opinion, coupled with yoghurt, and fruit, and make some combinations works well, also I've been enjoying 2 tbsp of Chia Seeds, soaked in water (takes 10-15mins 1:3 ratio of seeds to water) with some banana, or some other fruit. The chia seeds soak up the water so its a sort of tasteless jelly, but the fruits make it enjoyable for me.

Just let your imagination run wild a bit with some ideas, I browse a lot of youtube found some interesting recipes and the like there.

if I really want to eat something I eat it :) but then I always work out a bit harder, keeping in mind that I ate that bar of chocolate that day :) Try it out! :)
