I am currently at the age of 19 years old. I weigh in at 245lbs. I am standing at 5'10" tall and have a waist of 38. I am trying to lose weight first off for myself, and second to look better for spring break, summer. The problem with me and previous trys to lose weight is that i am really into weight/power lifting. Since i am into that my food intake consist of lots of protein and carbs and sugar. I am trying to get down to atleast 210lbs. or maybe even 200lbs. by atleast june 1. Any help or knowledge that you can give me will be great. Thank you.

Just make sure you get some cardio in.

Personally, I am trying to lose 70 pounds and LOVE running but HATE lifting.

I am going to try to do what I hate though 2 times a week

I sense a lecture coming on from a trainer about how you cannot both build muscle and lose fat at the same time in 3... 2... 1... :D

Basically you should be able to keep the muscle you do have and burn the fat, but you won't be able to build new muscle.

Why do you have lots of sugar? Outside of pre and post workout you really "shouldnt" be consuming any sugar/simple carbs.

I dont see power lifting to be a problem in losing weight. If you are eating less than what you take in, then you will lose weight. What does your food intake look like?

He's right, im about to get into some major resistance training, and I don't see weight being put on to that extent.. maybe i'll lessen up on my diet but only a little bit, u should still see loss and not gain, especially if u have more fat to lose than muscle to gain
