Time to Buy Whey Again

So, I finally plowed through my 5 lb tub of whey powder. The brand was "Designer Whey". The taste was pretty tolerable, but it was low carb, low calorie and packed with a bunch of vitamins and minerals.

I want to try some other brands out. I'll probably do like I did with this last one, sample a small container out, and if I like it, buy a bulk package off the internet.

What I'm looking for is something that tastes decent mixed with milk, has a high calorie/carb content, and doesn't have too many vitamins and minerals added. I already get a good amount of vitamins with all of the stuff I eat, I don't want to overdose.

trueprotein.com

trueprotein.com complete milk dairy isolate (CMDI).

80% casein, 20% whey, 0.5g carb per serving, 0 fat. Nothing added unless you want it added. I recommend going with the premium banana flavor.

It is by far the highest quality and the best tasting protein I have ever encountered, in years of searching for something that didn't make me want to throw up. I've been drinking it 6 times a day for 18 days straight now. :p

They also offer 12x50g sample packs of the premium flavors in whey, which is about $10 or so. You can buy plain protein and add as much or as little flavor as you want by purchasing flavor packs separately.

Seriously, trueprotein owns. And no I don't work for them, I'm just excited about not having thrown up yet on my V Diet. XD

Also you can buy in massive bulk (16+ lbs) to save 5%, and you can get a coupon code for the other 5%. Ends up being about $12/lb for CMDI with premium flavor. That's including shipping. Not bad at all, imo, as casein is more expensive than whey, and as before the quality/taste has no rival. Then again, taste is a personal thing. But I'm pretty confident you will agree.

P.S. Not banana cream, banana (bash)! Unless you like vanilla. I personally find vanilla protein indescribably disgusting.

For a good tastes with a mix of whey concentrate and Isolate try:

Champion Nutrition Pure Whey 5lbs

For ok taste high quality whey isolate try

Natures Best Isopure 3lbs

You will often find that most powders taste pretty good to begin with but after a while you will get sick of the flavor. You cant really tell if you will like it that much from a sample.
