Time for some fun !

So i started working on my diet yesterday - I thought some time of public reflection is enough to motivate (scare?) me into behaivor. Hopefully this time i can try to get something right - I feel that I've been through this so many times that I have enough knowledge by this point to get things done right!

Yesterday i did well after lunch - I had taco bell >< it's my downfall. At my highschool upperclassmen are allowed to leave campus every lunch to go eat - so I usually find it hard to eat a lunch i brought rather than buying fast food. I found that if i have stuff I like this becomes a lot less difficult. My strategy for eating out is - Buying a soda but eating the lunch I packed. I LOVE diet coke, im sorry to all those doctors and nutritionists out there who say it kills brain cells or whatever - not gunna go away. So at every fast food place I buy a large drink and get diet coke and I find that all I really want is to buy something and consume it. I love having a drink around in my last period, too. I have a special audition - only choir that I sing for 90 minutes every day in and i like to be sipping soda through it.

Today I did EXTRA super well. I had some cereal in the morning, and went off to school. I ate some sort of low carb 120 cal. cereal bar from South Beach Diet my mom had lying in the cupboard. It tasted like currogated cardboard but it gave me the boost i need. I always get some hunger pains around 10:30 every day so this filled it in. Lunch I drove home and had a salmon salad I bought a Trader Joes. I just got back from the gym - about 35 minutes at the low end of high intensity - burned about 300 calories or so, Usually I stay about an hour and burn 1000 - 1100. I just had another bbq chicken salad for dinner and that shoudl hold me for hte rest of the day.

The more and more you try this it seems its just a battle against your own mind. One of hte positives of weight loss that most people dont consider is how well oyu get ot know yourself and your habits.

Try sipping a perrier with a twist of lime. Just substitute one of those for a pop once in a while.

Oooooh - just cereal for breakfast? No wonder you get hungry at 10!

Have a good breakfast - eggs, wholegrain toast, fruit, tea or coffee and juice. A great idea to eat the cardboard-tasting bar as an emergency thing, but try to get some okay tasting bards. Believe or not - they do exist.

That's a very true thing you said there. Your mind is NOT your friend.

Best of luck with your diet.
