I've always been thin....5'5 with a small frame, and 100 pounds for most of my life, up until 2002. I never had to do anything to keep it that way, I could eat whatever I want and it stayed at that weight.
The dr put me on anti-depressents (Doxepin) and my weight skyrocketted up to 150 in 6 weeks. I'm guessing that my metabolism was slowed by the medicine at the same time that my hunger was increased. As soon as I went off of the medication, I dropped down to 130 and stayed that way for 3 years, even while eating McD's twice a day, chips, basically whatever I wanted.
Then about a year ago I got pregnant, gained 15 pounds during the pregnancy, lost it when I had my daughter, and I went back down to 135. Now, while my weight is *ok*, I'd like to see it down to about 120, and when I went to the gym the first time a month ago, I got my body fat checked and it was a whopping 30%!
*shudders*
I went on vacation, so I wasn't able to start my diet till a week and a half ago, but I've cut out all the extraneous calories (through soda) and started drinking water, as well as watching my calories (taking in about 1100 a day now through a healthy diet).
I've gone to the gym every day this week and today's my first day off, just to let my muscles relax. I've never done cardio before, so its really hard for me on the treadmill, but I've got a goal of being able to run my first mile in a month, and working up to 5K.
I also do an all-over weight training after my cardio, though I plan on switching that to upper body one day, then lower body the next. I've gotten my weight down to 131.
So, yeah...that's me...
