I've been running regularely for about half year, doing HIIT (25min) and steady cardio (45-60) sessions about 4times a week. Just 20 days before, I was in my top fitness i think, but then I had to go to a business trip where I had no way of doing any training for 18 days... Now I'm back, and I went for a run ... And i noticed that while on the same tempo and speed my heartrate is now up around 20 BPM comparing to my HR on the same tempo before I took that break..

Anyway; my question... I suposse this is individual, but how long do you think will be until i can lower my HR again, and have that cardio endurance like before... How long does it usually take someone who was a regular runner and took a longer break like this to regain his fitness?
