time betw workouts

I try to do a full body workout 3 times a week using nautilus-like equipment. Would there be benefit to a longer interval between workouts?

I am 62, don't want to gain muscle mass, trying to lose weight, do a lot of walking and interval speed walking. Thanks
 
Hey that's great that you're doing a full-body routine 3 times per week! What do you mean by "longer" interval between workouts? How much time do you currently give yourself between workouts?
 
I try to go to the gym 3 times a week, so 1 or 2 days of no lifting. Would it be better to have 2 -3 days between workouts.
 
1 to 2 days of recovery is usually sufficient. This would change if you were doing a different type of workout like a split where you would be focusing on certain muscle groups in each workout.
