Threads?

When another thread has the same question or topic as another thread does the more recent one get erased due to the fact there is already a thread out there exactly like it i have been searching these forums for about an hr now trying to find a similiar thread to the one i had posted i had read the thread like mine a couple days and i can't find it did it somehow get deleted or do threads sometimes just get randomly deleted and why?

the only threads that get deleted are spamming threads.

I don't know why you cant find it,do you remember what it was about,who wrote it and what section it was in???
