whats everyones take on those so called healthy frozen dinners? i have been having them a lot as it's so convinient for me at work.......

other than the ovious sodium, are they really bad for u?

the michallenas advantage kind for example.. with whole wheat pasta and chicken and that???

thanks

its still heavily processed, half the protein is usually from gelatin, which has little biological value (but its still calories)

why not make your own pre-cooked meals using Gladware, and just nuke in the microwave when needed? that's what I do. cook on sundays/wednesdays.

If you have access to a fridge like I do you may want to consider bringing stuff to make sandwiches (tuna/chicken, lettuce, tom, onion)...that's what I do :)

I eat them sometimes too. Yeah, we all know they aren't the greatest. Of course, it still beats the heck out of most other quick meal options. It's definitely worth trying to pre-cook some of your own stuff.

For me, the meals I have the time to cook are for supper. My husbands works a lot of overtime, so I try to make meals last a couple of days so I don't have to cook when he is at work and I have a screaming 5 month old, and a busy little 3 year old tearing the house apart.

Therefore, lunch for me is usually something quick and easy, and that sometimes includes the "healthy" frozen dinners.
